Andrew Andrews-Ramirez

Andrew’s passion is helping organizations achieve their best results by partnering with them from idea all the way through execution.  His career started with almost a decade as an Army infantry officer, with one combat deployment and four years in Washington DC working at the strategic level of the military. He earned his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2014 with concentrations in Finance and Entrepreneurship. While in school, he worked with various startups and private equity firms assisting with growth strategy, capital raising, and preparing for exits.  Since graduation, he has worked in Big 5 consulting, private equity, and with family-run businesses, including a large-scale transformation that spanned three continents.

Seeing a need in the market to address business transformations and turnarounds, Andrew founded VargasAndrews in 2017 with a long-time friend and colleague.  Some of their key differentiators are achieving ROI in a shorter time frame (fueled by turn-key BPO services in the Philippines), placing interim executives to execute change, and guiding leadership teams through the Entrepreneurial Operating System® (EOS). He also works with various family offices to bring organization and transparency while advising on opportunities for portfolio diversification. Andrew has invested in various Seed and Series A rounds for early stage ventures and is also a GP investor in the deep-tech fund, Gravity Ranch.

Andrew is an avid traveler and golfer who lives in Huntington Beach with his wife and two young daughters. He volunteers with Bunker Labs, a national nonprofit that helps military veterans and their spouses to start and grow businesses around the country.
